Is Club Level at Disney's Polynesian Resort Worth It? (King Kamehameha Club Review)

Staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a bucket list item for many, but upgrading to Club Level takes the price tag to a whole new level. We recently checked into the Hawaii Longhouse (exclusive to Club Level guests) with a Theme Park View to answer the big question: Is the extra cost actually worth it?

Here is our honest review of the King Kamehameha Club, the food, the views, and the one major downside of this resort.

1. The Room & The View

We stayed in a standard Club Level room with a Theme Park View.

  • The View: It is undeniably spectacular. From our balcony, we had a direct line of sight to Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, and the boat launch. Watching the "Happily Ever After" fireworks from your own private balcony (with the music piped in!) is a core memory you won't forget.

  • The Room: The Moana theming is subtle and beautiful. However, be aware that the new hard floors (while clean) can make the rooms echoey, especially if you have a connecting door. Pro tip: Ask for a non-connecting room if you are a light sleeper!

2. The King Kamehameha Club Lounge

The biggest perk of Club Level is access to the 2-story lounge in the Hawaii building.

  • Breakfast: Hot items like eggs and sausage, plus pastries, fruit, and yes—POG Juice. It’s substantial enough to skip buying breakfast in the parks.

  • Evening Service: We found plenty of hot appetizers (think meatballs, sushi, chicken wings) and free beer and wine.

  • Dessert: Late-night cordials and desserts are the perfect way to end the day.

Does it save money? If you utilize the lounge for breakfast and light dinners, you definitely do not need the Disney Dining Plan. We found ourselves full just from the lounge offerings!

3. The "Cons": Crowds & Privacy

We have to be honest: The Polynesian is busy.

  • The "Fishbowl" Effect: Because the resort has floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor walkways, people walking by can look right into your room if your curtains are open. It feels a bit like being in a zoo exhibit!

  • Lobby Chaos: The Great Ceremonial House is always packed with visitors waiting for 'Ohana or Trader Sam's. If you want a quiet, relaxing resort, the Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge might be a better fit.

The Verdict: Is it Worth It?

If you are a "people person" who loves high energy and wants the best fireworks view in Disney World without fighting the crowds on Main Street, then YES, the Polynesian Club Level is worth it.

However, if you want peace and quiet, the chaotic energy of the Poly might be overwhelming, even with the exclusive lounge access.

Watch our full video above to see the room tour, the full food spread in the lounge, and that incredible castle view!
